The Alliance for GLBTQ Youth is a comprehensive system of care utilizing multiple service providers and sites throughout Miami-Dade County. We offer the following services FREE of charge to Miami-Dade County youth, their families and communities:

Care Coordination

Individual support to help navigate and access services, including:

• Individual & Holistic Guidance
• Education & Prevention
•  Critical Linkage & Referral services:
  • Emergency Housing & Reunification (The Alliance has a strong relationship with the Miami Bridge Youth and Family Services and will facilitate safe housing.)
  • Free HIV/STD Testing
  • Mental Health

Community-based Group Counseling

Group counseling sessions are led by trained facilitators throughout the Miami-Dade County.  This is a confidential and safe space for youth to discuss experiences, feelings, and ideas.  Topics may include:

• Coming Out
• Healthy Relationships
• Substance Abuse Prevention
• Stress Management
• And many others, determined by what the group decides

Individual Counseling

Confidential individual counseling with a trained counselor to discuss or explore larger or crisis needs present for a young person.

Prevention Education

Prevention education workshops are designed to increase the knowledge of GLBTQ youth issues.  These workshops are tailored to the setting and the audience.  If you are a community organization or school interested in scheduling an event, please contact us.

Youth Enrichment Activities (YEA!)

YEA! are safe, social activities such as dances, artistic workshops, educational sessions, and much more that encourage youth leadership development and self-expression.  These events are held throughout Miami-Dade County. Check out our calendar for upcoming events.
